Condition Grading Standards

At Adore Vintage, we assign a clear condition grade to every item so you know exactly what to expect. Our grading reflects actual wear and appearance based on how the item was received and carefully inspected

Pristine

This item looks nearly new with minimal to no visible wear. It may still have original tags or packaging included. Any tiny imperfections (if present) are extremely faint and won’t distract from the item’s condition

What this means:

  • No noticeable marks, scratches, stains, or structural wear
  • Hardware, stitching, and materials are intact and fresh-looking
  • May include original accessories (dust bag/box) when available

This grade aligns with the best industry descriptions for “like new” or “pristine” condition.

Excellent

What this means:

  • Surface shows slight, barely noticeable wear
  • Minor marks or light scratches only on close inspection
  • No structural damage
  • Any visible wear will be clearly noted

Great

Clearly pre-owned but still in good shape

A wearable, stylish item that shows minor signs of use and remains in great overall condition.

What this means:

  • Light wear or small marks on exterior/interior
  • Slight softening of edges or minimal creasing
  • Hardware may have faint surface scratches
  • Overall clean and presentable

Good

Used condition with noticeable signs of wear

An item with moderate wear that remains fully functional and stylish, but shows visible signs of prior use.

What this means:

  • More obvious surface imperfections (scuffs, creases)
  • Slight fading, darker handles, or worn edges
  • Hardware wear is noticeable
  • Still structurally intact and wearable
